I found this book seems to tell you all the right things but lacks substance. It comes across with a lot of good ideas but very basic and not much in the way of HOW to do the things it suggests. Kind of like a healthy eating book that tells you to eat less and exercise more. But a good starting point if you really have NO idea how to be assertive.

Originally I thought its Dale Carnegie but it turned out to be from training which is like misleading as they put a small foot note.

It is a good and relevant book about people skills, which gives you a good skill set for developing assertiveness. I wanted to read more about assertiveness and were choosing between different books which were covering this topic I am glad I chose this one.

This is an exceptional management support tool for anyone who is hoping to succeed at team leading with skill to get the most from the people you work with.

I have read a couple of Carnagie's books and found them of great value to getting on in life and at work. Especially at work as I have to work with people from all over the world. Before reading books like this one must want to improve those skills and believe they can.

a bit long in the end; not as interesting as Dale Carnegie's own book; a bit too technical and not so much insight
