RUTH DOMBROW is a painter, potter, poet and clinical psychologist. A former owner of EARTHWORKS AND ARTISANS, a ceramic art school and gallery in Manhattan, Ruth's work can now be seen regularly at the VILLAGE GALLERY OF KATONAH in Katonah, NY, at the FLATIRON GALLERY in Peekskill, NY and at the ART MART GALLERY in Sedona, AZ. Ruth studied painting with Lawrence Goldsmith on Monhegan Island in Maine and in Greenwich Village. She also studied at the Art Students League in New York City. She has had solo shows at the FLATIRON GALLERY, THE FLYING PIG, SOUTH SALEM LIBRARY, NORTH SALEM FREE LIBRARY, the LI DANIELS GALLERY and the MEETINGHOUSE, and is a member of the Advisory Board of the KATONAH MUSEUM ARTISTS ASSOCIATION. Her paintings have been exhibited in many of Westchester's juried shows including at the Hammond Museum, the Northern Westchester Center for the Arts and the Gallery at Westchester Community College and Art Show: Bedford. She won a ﬁ:rst prize at the BEAUX ARTS EXHIBIT in Katonah, and Director's Award at the Putnam Arts Council. Ruth's poetry has been published in MOONSNAP, LINGUA 2000, ROSE AND THORN, PSYCHOPOETICA, PERIGEE, VOICES and THE FAIRFIELD REVIEW. Except for her Raku pieces, her ceramics are high-ﬁ:red stoneware and porcelain. They were exhibited in the invitational show, CERAMIC VISIONS-2002.Retired from her psychotherapy practice in New York City, Ruth spends most of her time at her studios in Goldens Bridge, N.Y. and Sedona, Arizona.
