EEK-EEK-EEK! Mrs. Brisbane is missing!
Humphrey has always investigated things, like why Speak-Up-Sayeh was so quiet and Tall-Paul and Small-Paul didn't get along, but this is a true mystery--Mrs. Brisbane is missing! She just didn't show up in Room 26 one morning and no one told Humphrey why. The class has a substitute teacher, called Mr. E., but he's no Mrs. Brisbane. Humphrey has just learned about Sherlock Holmes, so he vows to be just as SMART-SMART-SMART about collecting clues and following leads to solve the mystery of Mrs. Brisbane (and a few others along the way).
Nominated for twenty-four state awards and the winner of seven, the Humphrey series is a hit across the country.

My 8 year old son loves the Humphrey books. I have read all of them to him at bedtime and I have enjoyed the stories too. Humphrey the classroom Hamster helps solve the problems of the children in class and I am sure most primary school children (especially the younger ones) can identify with some of the problems. In this book even the teacher had a few issues that needed dealing with!

great book loved how it made you feel like your Humphrey the hamster .one thing that's puzzling me is how can a hamster write?

My 8 year old daughter loved this, and insisted on reading me excerpts as she went through the book. She loved the characters, the plots kept her involved and there were lots of funny little hamster point of view lines. We recommend this to any child who loves reading and animals.

This book was chosen by my son aged 7 to read as part of his school book club. The story is about a classroom hamster that has a mystery to solve when the teacher disappears. It is a good book for learning new words and although I enjoyed the story my son found it boring. The subject is more best suited to girls aged 8-10 year olds rather than boys and was too long for a 7 year old( approx 180 pages) to hold his interest.

Another great book from Betty G Birney. My eight year old daughter loves these Humphrey books and is always on the look out for one she hasn't already read. She reads them over and over again and the only downside is having to wait for Betty G Birney to write the next instalment to Humphreys adventures. I think the next one is due out about September, but it's along time to wait when you are only eight!

My daughter loves the whole set of these books, so another one to the collection has been good. She reads them many times over as the stories are so good. She's now turned 14!

I read loads of Betty G. Birney books because they are the best books ever and my seven year old brother loves it and so do I. I have no dislikes about this book. I rate it 5 star and I hope this review is helpful.
