When you need a bit of space to escape the digital world this is a terrific way to escape into your dreams. Its batteries won't go flat and once you've bought the book, its your to treasure forever.Maybe your just dreaming, approaching retirement, mid life crisis, just retired, or just curious, or if your thinking of buying a boat, if you're English maybe you've just crossed the channel over to France for a look see and stock up with cheap wine.Worried about Brexit ?No problem if you voted to stay IN Europe hop on your boat and your home and dry.If you voted to LEAVE, still no problem as you're a 'Ship in transit' and legally allowed to enter, and travel through Europe, that will not change. If you come from other parts of the world you will be made most welcome. In Dunkirk you're on the threshold of the European canal system, would you be tempted to go further? When, where and how would you go ? these are crucially important considerations if you're in the pre-planning stages of your adventure.People in a camper van can also visit the 99% of the places we speak of in this book and so it has has a much wider appeal than you may think at first glance.I made the mistake on my first trip through the French canals of dashing down South to the sun and arrived in just 4 weeks.I kicked myself later for not going slower, looking around, drinking in the ambience so I got a real taste of the regions, rather than a quick look as I whizzed by, sure I can say I've been there, whilst the truth is I've seen nothing of the place. Most people dash straight down to the South of France, once they've arrived and settled down 99.9% are full of regret for not taking the journey slower, visiting places of interest and creating an adventure of a lifetime.I enjoyed my first taste of cruising into retirement immensely because everything was new to me, hindsight is 20/20 vision and I promised myself if I was ever fortunate to do it again I would turn it into a fantastic adventure of a lifetime. This book is written especially for YOU as YOUR inspiration, to help YOU to follow YOUR dream, learn from my mistakes. You don't need to be millionaire, a second hand motor cruiser can be bought for a reasonable cost and renovated for your own comfort, living on a boat is much cheaper than living in a house and as it not a fixed asset you can move it around. Alternatively you can rent out your house to pay for your cruising lifestyle.Just imagine !You can travel the oldest canal in France.Visit Ypres and pay homage to the fallen.See horticultural heaven with an unbelievable WOW ! factor.Stunning canal engineering marvels that will astound you.Get among the amazing barges up close and personal.Sip some Riesling in Germany's beautiful Moselle valley ? visit a Bierkeller ! or march behind an Oompah band.Discerning wine drinkers will know of Chatenuef du Pape, but do you know where it is ? Would you like to visit it ?The Pope's palace in Avignon with it's famous bridge is unmissable.Read about the crusade against the Muslim hordes, Aigues Mortes and the Knights Templar. All this and more when you cruise with us through 'Windmills and Wine'..We've often been asked if we have sponsors or crowd funding and the answer is no, we use our personal savings to fund our travels, the majority of the sales price is taken up by printing, handling costs.I'm a cruiser skipper not an IT guy, if I've made a wee mistake or two please don't mark me down, let me know and I'll fix it.Please LEAVE A 5 STAR RATING, it would be most welcome and we thank you in anticipation..Geoff Woolley, Bateau 'Snow Mouse'. Narbonne,France.

I loved this book. It was from the heart and very informative about the journey with someone who is a boating expert .If I was going to make this journey reading this book would be a must. It has all been written with lots of humour and fun . I have now read all the books by this author and this latest one was the best. William J Gibson Edinburgh
