I have this book as well as book 1, and am working through them alongside the piano lessons books 2 and 3. (I am an adult re-learning the piano having done loads as a child then not much for a long time). I much prefer this book to the first. The pieces are slightly harder, but far more enjoyable, rather than just feeling like exercises to improve technique, they are enjoyable to play in their own right. I can see myself coming back to this book time and time again to play the pieces I particularly like. The level is probably late book 2 / early book 3 piano lessons.
